  Thomas Turnbull (tom_o_t on drupal.org) and Alan Palazzolo (zzolo on drupal.org) join Mike Anello to talk about their new book from O’Reilly Media, Mapping with Drupal. Mike’s usual co-hosts, Andrew and Ryan, were both unable to participate in the podcast, leaving Thomas and Alan subject to Mike’s long-winded (but extremely interesting by some accounts) questions.

Florida DrupalCamp 2012 Fast Approaching

Florida DrupalCamp 2012The fourth edition of Florida DrupalCamp is rapidly approaching - Drupalists from Florida and beyond will be descending on Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida on February 11 and 12, 2012 for the largest Drupal event Florida has ever seen.

Registration is currently open at fldrupalcamp.org at the low cost of $20 per person - the cost will be going to up $25 on January 11, so be sure to register soon to get the lowest possible price. Admission will include a t-shirt, drinks, snacks, and lunch and access to the entire session program.

Session proposals are still being accepted as well - the deadline for submitting a session is January 12, so if you're interested in sharing some of your Drupal knowledge, be sure to submit your proposal soon. 

Florida DrupalCamp 2011 Tickets Now Available

Tickets for Florida DrupalCamp 2011, February 12-13 at Rollins College in Winter Park, are now available at the official site: FLDrupalCamp.org. This year's event promises to the be the largest Drupal event Florida has ever seen with more of what’s been growing crowds for the past few years - now at a bigger, more comfortable venue. Tickets are just $10 and include a t-shirt, and plenty of food and drinks.

Florida DrupalCamp 2011 Call For Sponsors

Florida DrupalCamp 2011 will be held February 12-13 in Winter Park, Florida on the campus of Rollins College. Sponsorship opportunities are now available to interested parties.

The first day of the camp will be a 4-track learning experience and the 2nd day will feature a site building sprint where we build a complete Drupal site for a Florida non-profit organization. At last year's camp we sold out several weeks before the event at 175 people. For 2011, we've found a new venue and will be able to support over 300 participants.

Up-and-Coming Drupal Hotspot? Florida's Drupal Community is on a Roll!

The Drupal community in Florida has been steadily gaining momentum this year, and if the next week or so are any indication, there are no signs of slowing down.

Starting with our hugely successful DrupalCamp back in February (attended by over 100 people) to meetups in various cities since then, Florida Drupalers are starting to really get a sense of how vibrant our local Drupal community actually is.
