The first DrupalCamp South Florida will hit the campus of Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale on October 22, 2011! The event is a community-organized, attendee-driven day designed to bring together and grow the South Florida Drupal community to learn, network, and share ideas. Drupal, which is built, used, and supported by a global community of hundreds of thousands, is a Content Management System used to build everything from personal blogs to massive enterprise applications.

Drupal is powering millions of websites and applications. As one of the fastest growing open source CMS in the world, it has, and is projected to continue to offer, tremendous career opportunities for those who hone their expertise. The day-long beginner track will focus on teaching Drupal newbies the basics and expose them to the vibrant local and global community who work, develop and make a living through Drupal. In addition, there will be one pre-planned session track with speakers from the Florida Drupal community presenting on intermediate and advanced Drupal topics, along with an unconference-style track where community members can volunteer on the day of the event to present on any other Drupal-related topics.
