Great podcoast guys

I was especially interested in hearing feedback on the Plugin Manager - your input was valuable.

As for Hierarchical Select, there is active development occurring to get it on CCK fields. Last I checked, it's a bit buggy, but there is a lot of excitement about it and it looks *very* promising. http://drupal.org/node/232330

I have also wanted to use Backup and Migrate for awhile - thanks for the overview.

Great stuff guys. I've been using Drupal about a day and was still able to follow along in your discussion. I can tell you from a n00b stand point that the installing of multiple modules right from the get go is kind of daunting. I do understand the principle behind it though and appreciate why it's done.

The audio was great too and I'd love to talk about your podcasting setup (maybe next week at the Creatives meetup).

Mike in regards to Watchmen, read the graphic novel. I'm not a comic book nerd by any means but a friend of mine lent me a copy and I couldn't put it down.

I also regret not being able to make it to Florida Drupalcamp. Maybe next time.

I think I'm going to miss the Creatives meetup next week but here's the lowdown on the podcast setup. We use skype to connect all of us and on my end I use Soundflower + Hijackthis (Mac programs) to split the recording into two channels (me, them). I then use Audacity (multi-platform program) to edit the podcast and downmix/compress into mp3. Both Ryan and Mike also record the session just in case there are any technical glitches and we lose what I record.

As far as mics go, both Mike and I use Plantronics headsets and Ryan uses a professional grade mic.

Ryan can fill in any details I missed :)

My mic is an MXL V57M and I get my Phantom Power from an M-Audio MobilePre USB.

I use eCamm Call Recorder for Skype and a program called Sound Studio when I edit, but Quicktime Pro ($30) is a cheap and easy editor. You still can't beat Audacity - it's free, cross-platform and powerful.

Most important with podcasting is breathing, speaking, background noise, etc.

Cool

Glad to have more people chatting about Drupal! Let me know if you guys ever want a guest speaker :) You beat our announcement about Paris! LOL. http://blip.tv/file/1788939

Thanks for the kind welcome - if you're going to be in DC, we'll have to find a couch and grab some beverages.

iTunes?

Any chance of getting this into the iTunes store? I think it'd help circulation. And I'm not just saying that because I'm lazy. Ok, maybe I am ;-)
