Mike Anello (ultimike) recently talked with Lynn Beighley, author of Drupal For Dummies from Wiley Publishing.
The interview covers Lynn's background as a software developer and author, including a stint with Yahoo!. Lynn is the author of numerous technical books covering many different topics including PHP, MySql, Flash, and now Drupal. In the interview she mentions that she's currently working on jQuery For Dummies.
They talk about how Drupal For Dummies is a book that is aimed towards people who have heard of Drupal and want to check it out. It covers a wide range of topics without diving too deep in any one area. It's a great book to hand someone if they're interested in checking out what is possible with Drupal. They also cover Lynn's top ten "must-have" Drupal modules for beginners.
You can check out Lynn's DrupalForDummies.com web site - built only using techniques and modules covered in the book. You can also follow @lynnbeighley on Twitter.
Wiley Publishing has given us a couple of copies of the book to giveaway - simply leave a comment below (be sure to leave your twitter or drupal.org username so we have some way to contact you) and we'll pick two winners at random.

I've been working with Drupal for a while, but just getting into handling some of the maintenance. Also looking to get more comfortable with theming. And expanding my use of modules.
I look forward to learning from you, Lynn. Mike, thanks for hosting this interview. Very informative.

Not just here for a book! Also to thank Mike Anello!
After struggling to get a local testing server and Drupal up and running for a few days - and being completely unable to figure out what was going wrong, I found Mike Anello's excellent online instructions and they solved my problems, showed me what my errors had been, and got me up and running on the very first try!
I am here for a free book!
But also diggin' what you were laying down at DrupalCon2010!
Thank-you in hindsight and in advance!

p.p.s I am a web programmer who works in the field of education/instruction... striving to use drupal to help those who "don't know" become those who "understand"!
